The Tri-Hog Invitational, benefitting the Columbia Golf Foundation’s Golf in Schools Program, was held at Columbia Country Club on September 30th. The event was a major success, with 104 golfers participating!
The day began with a lunch of roasted hog prepared by Smokin Chicks Barbeque.
Following that was a bagpipe serenade.
Right before heading to the course, the golfers were treated to the singing of the National Anthem by CGF Golf in Schools instructors Laura Kraft and Gary Mills. The CGF crew has many talents, and they were spectacular!
Following the round and the awards ceremony, the participants were shuttled to the Roots and Blues Festival.
Thank you to all who participated. Proceeds go to fund the Columbia Golf Foundation Golf in Schools Program, which provides golf demonstration and instruction in PE programs K-8 in a 10-city area in Mid-Missouri. The communities CGF serves are: Auxvasse, Boonville, Centralia, Hallsville, Harrisburg, Hatton, Mexico, Moberly, Sturgeon, and Williamsburg.
At the 2016 Hall of Fame Banquet the Tri-Hogs presented a REALLY BIG check to Columbia Golf Foundation.
We hope to see everyone, and more, in 2017!
